Garmin Trip And Waypoint Manager Windows 7

  1. Garmin Trip And Waypoint

I just got a Nuvi 2370LT. The 2370 comes preloaded with North America and Europe. I quickly discovered that there was little space left and had to buy a memory card before I could take advantage of a free City Explorer Map of Dublin. I would like to be able to do my trip and route planning in detail on line and download it to my Nuvi. It appears that the Trip and Waypoint Manager might be what I need. I do not mind the extra $30 but I want to know if it will do what I want.

Free garmin trip waypoint manager windows 7 download software at UpdateStar - Garmin Trip and Waypoint manager is a handy travel resource. A navigation software. Find great deals on eBay for garmin trip and waypoint manager. Garmin/Mapsour ce/Trip and Waypoint Manager/CD. Waypoint Manager CD v4.0 works w/ windows 7,8.

Will the data download to the memory card if the main unit is full? Does anyone have experience with this software? Thanks, Ron Heller. Patch 4.1 notes.

I would suggest you use a program called BaseCamp. It will do the same thing as Trip & Waypoint Manager and not to mention it is a FREE Software. This program will allow you to view the mapping that is loaded to the device and the SD Card. You can create routes and waypoints and send them to capable units. You can download the program from here: You will have to allow BaseCamp time to load the mapping file from your device before you can view it on the program though.

That can take a few minutes. Give that a try. It should be a solution to your issue and it is a Free one.

Both the 2370 and the 3700 series are capable of transferring routes from BaseCamp to these units. Take a look at the garmin website specifications sheet and you can see the Nuvi 2370 has the capability of sending or receiving up to 100 routes maximum to the unit. I have tested this myself and the routes transfer to the unit from the free software BaseCamp. If you are having issues getting it to transfer the routes then you may have some kind of issue with BaseCamp or the Nuvi 2370 itself and should give Garmin a call for assistance. I'm a mod at one of the major GPS forums and this was discussed extensively.

As I said, they recently fixed this on the 3700. Specifically, people were angry about the spec indicating 100 routes, which implied computer transfer. However the spec only referred to routes created on the unit itself. Furthermore, they aren't even 'routes', they are 'trips' which behave differently. Mapsource and Basecamp could be used to send waypoints (aka favorites), but not routes. In fact, look at the specs for the 2300 series on page 47 of the manual here: Note the careful wording under File Types that specifically mentions waypoints and not routes. Hmmm - that makes me wonder if TIMW22 was just sending waypoints and not routes?

Believe me, you can actually transfer the route but you can't open/use it later LMAO. Older models do, new ones don't. I really like the way Google Maps calculate routes so, at least for me, this is a very important feature for a GPS to have. I wrote an email to Garmin support and their response was something like 'you have to reset your unit and blah blah blah'.

They had NO IDEA of what I was saying. Crap support (at least Spanish support).
