Vlc Media Player 360

It is capable of playing HD MKV content and other video files nativity on a Jtag / RGH hacked Xbox 360. This means no more transcoding the media you wish to play over your network. The player is capable of playing video from usb, hard drive and disc drive, it supports the ext2fs, ntfs, fat, xtaf and iso9660 file systems. Has anyone been able to put this working? I'm trying to boot this, using XellLaunch from FSD, Xell.bin is v0.991.

Windows Media Player 11: Just like for Xbox 360. Install the Homebrew Channel and Mplayer on your Wii. You are leaving a Gizmodo Media Group. Jul 03, 2012 Hi guys, For RGH, where would you find a custome media player to play all media types? Kinda like VLC Media Player, only for the home brew console.

It startes the XMPlayer OK, but then it stops at the loading screen. That screen with the disc animation. It just keeps there, won't pass from there. Don't know why.

The Xbox doesn't really FREEZE, has the animation keeps going, but doesn't do anything. Maybe its because im running the ELF from a external HDD USB?

(thumbs up) UPDATE: For those having problems with the Disc animation logo freeze, format the device in use with FAT32Format tool. It seems that the way windows formats in FAT32 causes incompatibilities with the player. If the USB is formated in Linux or with FAT32Format, it should work.

The few times I've asked about this, I've usually been told to just stream it using the functions already available, but I don't like having to keep my computer switched on to play a film, etc, or the limited functionality of Windows Media Centre. I've searched Google a lot of times and heard about some homebrew that allows playback up to 720p, although I'm not sure why 1080p isn't supported since I hear an Xbox 1 can be modded to run at 720p and play with XBMC. So, any recommendations for the 360 to play AVI/MKV/etc videos and also any FTP clients for the 360? I'm not asking about an FTP client for connecting to my 360 using my PC. Rather, I'd like to use a client to download data from a server to my 360, instead of tediously transferring to my PC and then to my 360. Thanks as always!
